Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy explains how Climeo handles personal information when you use climeo.ca, contact us, request a quote, book or receive a service, or communicate with us. It also explains how Climeo's internal systems use Google APIs to operate and measure Climeo's own Google presence.

1. Information Climeo collects

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

2. Why Climeo uses information

Climeo uses information to answer enquiries; qualify and prepare quotes; book, schedule, and deliver services; send service communications; issue and reconcile invoices and payments; provide support; request an honest review after a completed service; measure acquisition and service performance; prevent abuse; maintain security and records; and meet accounting or legal obligations.

3. Website, contact, quote, and booking data

Information submitted through website forms becomes part of Climeo's operational records. It may be linked to later quotes, bookings, work records, invoices, payments, and customer communications so that Climeo can provide and account for the requested service. Forms use Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and abuse; Google may receive technical information needed to provide that protection.

4. Analytics

Climeo currently uses a first-party analytics system, not Google Analytics. After you select “Allow” in the analytics notice, Climeo may record a pseudonymous visitor and session identifier, page path and title, referring host, campaign parameters, language, time zone, device or browser characteristics, engagement, and conversion events. Form message content is not included in analytics events. An IP address may be processed briefly for security, rate limiting, and approximate geography, but it is not stored in the analytics event record.

A limited first-touch record may be stored as a functional cookie so a genuine contact or booking can be attributed to its landing page or campaign. It contains the landing path, referring host, campaign parameters, and timestamp—not your form message or contact details.

5. Google API and Google Business Profile data

Climeo's internal application connects only to Google accounts authorized to manage Climeo's own business and search properties. Customers are not asked to connect their Google accounts.

Google Business Profile

Using the business.manage authorization, the application may access Climeo account and location identifiers; business name, store code, phone, website, categories, service area, profile metadata, services, and media; Google review identifiers, reviewer display name and profile photo, rating, review text, review dates, link, and Climeo's reply; and performance data such as Search and Maps impressions, calls, website clicks, direction requests, bookings, conversations, and search-keyword counts.

Climeo uses this information to verify and maintain its own listing, display current public review evidence, respond to reviews when authorized, measure profile performance, and prepare or perform explicitly authorized profile, service, or media updates. Google Business Profile write operations are disabled by default in the current automation and require a separate operational authorization.

Google Search Console

Climeo reads its own Search Console performance data using read-only access. The data includes search queries, dates, Climeo pages, device and country dimensions, and aggregate impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and average position. Search Console data available to Climeo does not identify individual searchers.

Storage, sharing, and Limited Use

Google OAuth credentials are kept in restricted runtime secrets. Access tokens are short-lived. Authorized data is stored or cached in Climeo's operational database and reports so that scheduled jobs can compare provider state, show source dates, and preserve an auditable history when a provider is temporarily unavailable. Public Google reviews may be cached and displayed with the reviewer's public name, review text, rating, and date.

Climeo does not sell Google user or business data, use it to build advertising profiles, or disclose it for unrelated purposes. It is available only to Climeo personnel who need it and to infrastructure providers acting for Climeo as described below. Climeo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Email, communications, and other processors

Climeo uses service providers where needed to operate the business. These currently include Heroku/Salesforce and managed database or cache infrastructure for application hosting and storage; Zoho for operational email and authorized mailbox observation; SendGrid for email delivery, campaign delivery status, bounces, unsubscribes, and suppression; Auth0 for administrative authentication; Twilio for supported telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, and web-chat communications; and Google for Search Console, Business Profile, reviews, performance, media, and reCAPTCHA. Scheduled operational infrastructure processes provider data and produces internal reports. These providers process information according to their services and agreements with Climeo.

Climeo may observe replies to its own outreach and service messages so it can identify and respond to genuine replies, respect unsubscribes, and distinguish automated or delivery messages from human responses.

7. Cookies and local storage

The site uses secure session storage and cookies needed for functions such as administrative login and service flow. The functional climeo_ft cookie stores limited first-touch attribution for up to 30 days. If you allow first-party analytics, the browser stores analytics consent and pseudonymous visitor/session identifiers in local storage. If you decline, consent-gated analytics collection does not start. Browser settings can remove these items, although blocking essential storage may affect site functions.

8. Retention and deletion

Climeo does not apply one automatic retention period to every record. Contact, quote, booking, service, invoice, payment, and communication records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide service, support customers, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. The live analytics stream is bounded; reporting or attribution copies may be retained for historical comparison.

Google credentials are retained while authorization is active. Provider caches are refreshed and may retain dated historical or aggregate records for auditing and trend measurement. Revoking Google authorization stops new API access but does not automatically erase information already lawfully cached. An authorized account owner may ask Climeo to delete applicable Google API data or other personal information, subject to security, accounting, and legal retention needs.

9. Security

Climeo uses access controls, authenticated administrative areas, restricted runtime secrets, encrypted HTTPS transport, and operational monitoring intended to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Sharing and disclosure

Climeo does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting for Climeo, to personnel who need it to provide the service, when you direct or authorize the disclosure, to protect customers or the business, or where required by law. Public reviews and other material you intentionally publish through a public platform remain public according to that platform's settings.

11. Your choices and rights

You may decline consent-gated analytics, unsubscribe from marketing email, and ask to access, correct, or delete personal information Climeo holds about you, subject to identity verification and records Climeo must retain. You may also contact us about a privacy concern or withdraw consent where applicable.

12. Google authorization and revocation

The Google account owner who authorized Climeo's internal application can review or revoke access at Google Account third-party connections. The owner can also contact Climeo to request disconnection or deletion of applicable cached Google API data. Revocation prevents future provider reads or writes but may cause Google-powered profile and performance reporting to stop.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Climeo at info@climeo.ca or +1 438-299-9995. Climeo serves Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

14. Changes to this policy

Climeo may update this policy when its services, providers, or data practices change. The current version and its last-updated date will remain available at this URL.
